Accessibility

Our commitment

Downsized Designs wants everyone to be able to shop our store comfortably, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice control, or other assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA across downsizeddesigns.net.

What we checked

In October 2026 we audited our store theme page by page and fixed what we found: the home page, collection pages and their filters, product pages (including variant and finish selection, personalization, and the sticky add-to-cart bar), the Favorites page, the Recently Viewed rail, the cart, search, and our main content pages. The fixes included button and text contrast, visible focus outlines, heading order, form labels, screen-reader announcements for cart additions and filter changes, touch-target sizes, and image descriptions. An accessibility check is now a standing step in how we build every future change to this site.

What to know

We test with the tools available to a small shop - code review, keyboard walkthroughs, and automated contrast and structure checks - so our honest standard is this: the store is audited and fixed to WCAG 2.2 AA as far as we can test. A few parts of the store are provided by outside apps (product personalization and customer reviews) or by Shopify itself (checkout). We don't control that code, but we report problems to those providers when we find them.

Tell us about a barrier

If anything on this site is hard to use with your technology - or stops you from shopping with us at all - please email help@downsizeddesigns.net and tell us which page and what went wrong. We read every report ourselves, we will fix what we can, and if we can't fix it we will gladly help another way, including taking your order by email.
