What to do with your boards:
• Display prominently when not in use. These aren't just for serving; they are beautiful statement pieces and can also be used on a table to organize napkins, salt & pepper shakers, etc..
• PLACE A LAYER OF PARCHMENT PAPER OR OTHER PROTECTIVE FILM BARRIER WHEN PLACING FOOD ON BOARD. This will not detract from the beauty of the board as it will be entirely covered with delicious food. While stain is considered non-toxic once dried, this wood is porous and moisture from food could cause wicking from the board. Colored foods such as cheese could also cause discoloration to the board.
• Wipe with slightly damp cloth after use
What NOT to do with your boards:
• Do not chop or cut on these boards
• Do not scrub these when wiping down or the finish could fade
• Do not soak or put in the dishwasher
• Do not let deep pigment foods sit directly on the board or it could stain the finish
• Do no put food directly on the wood surface for 2 reasons. While stain is considered non-toxic once dried, this wood is porous and moisture from food could cause wicking from the board. Colored foods such as cheese could also cause discoloration to the board.
WE HIGHLY RECCOMEND PLACING A LAYER OF PARCHMENT PAPER OR OTHER PROTECTIVE FILM BARRIER WHEN PLACING FOOD ON BOARD. This will not detract from the beauty of the board as it will be entirely covered with delicious food.
